Format:
Ø Welcome to the 2010 Tiger Jam Volleyball Tourney! Play to promptly begin at 8am. Please bring your own warm up balls. Volleylites will be used. Libero may serve during this tournament.
Ø Pool play matches will consist of 2 sets to 21 points (cap of 23). 3 points will be awarded each match, 1 point per set win, and 3rd point to biggest point differential.
Ø Tiebreaker will be fewest points allowed in pool.
Ø Warm ups will be 2min shared/4min serving team/4min receiving team (serving time included in the 4min) for all teams’ first match. 1/2/2 for remaining matches.
Ø Top 4 teams of each pool advance to playoffs. 1st in pool to gold division, 2nd to silver, 3rd to bronze, and 4th to copper. All teams in pool D will qualify for playoffs.
Ø Playoff matches will be best 2 of 3 (25-25-15 – no cap). If 3rd set is necessary, do not switch sides at 8. Winning team will advance, losing team needs to check refereeing schedule before leaving.
Ø NO FOOD OR DRINK is allowed on the courts or at the scoring table! Thank You.
Ø No CELL PHONES or MUSIC DEVICES for the officiating crew – this includes the scoring table!
Coaches Meeting:
Mandatory coaches meeting will be held at 7:40 a.m. Please make sure you have a coach in attendance. Any changes in the schedule will be drawn up immediately at 7:45 a.m. if there are any teams missing.
Admission:
Doors open at 7:30 a.m. at the Rec Center. Concessions will be available, including Subway sandwiches. This is a fundraiser for our club, so please support the concessions area. NO COOLERS or FOOD may be brought into the building. Please inform players and parents of this rule. Only closed top water bottles are allowed in the gym. Seating is limited so please inform parents that they may want to bring their own chair.
Other Information:
◊ The coach of the officiating team must be the up ref during pool play as well as playoffs.
